The Story Behind Jae Luxe Kreations

I’m Jaelyn, the founder and hands behind Jae Luxe Kreations, formerly known as The Loc Assassin. My business began five years ago during COVID. Although I already knew how to do hair, I hadn’t imagined making it my career. That first set sparked an interest that grew into a business—and a purpose I wanted to keep exploring.

As The Loc Assassin, I built my foundation working with locs and developing my creativity. Over time, I became just as interested in understanding hair as I was in styling it. I wanted to know how it grows, what affects its health, and how to care for the scalp beneath it. I also wanted to explore haircutting, coloring, and the reasons behind the techniques I used. Those questions led me to pursue a formal education in cosmetology.

In 2026, I completed the 1,500-hour cosmetology program at Tennessee College of Applied Technology Nashville and graduated. That experience expanded my knowledge and strengthened my commitment to becoming a healthy hair specialist. It also helped me see a broader future for the business I had started.

The transition from The Loc Assassin to Jae Luxe Kreations reflects that growth. Locs will always be part of my foundation, but I wanted a name that could grow with my interests in natural hair care, vivid coloring, healthy cuts, and education. To me, the Jae Luxe experience means thoughtful care, attention to detail, and a space where clients feel comfortable asking questions and expressing themselves.

My goal is for you to leave my chair feeling confident in your look and more informed about your hair. I believe the care you give it between appointments matters, and I want to help you understand what works for your routine. As I continue learning and growing, my purpose remains the same: healthy hair rooted in knowledge and crowned in luxury.
